Day by day

1. Day 1 — Arrival at Kathgodam/Delhi - Drive to Ranikhet

   Arrive at Kathgodam railway station, Pantnagar Airport or Delhi to begin your Kumaon holiday. Meet our tour executive and drive up to Ranikhet, climbing steadily through this gateway to the foothills with its pine slopes and valley views along the way. On arrival, transfer to your hotel and complete check-in. The evening is free at leisure to stroll around the quiet cantonment town. Overnight stay in Ranikhet.

2. Day 2 — Ranikhet to Kausani Scenic Drive

   Post breakfast, drive to Kausani through scenic valleys and pine ridges. Check in at your hotel and explore this hill station, often called the Switzerland of India, facing a 300 km uninterrupted panorama of Trisul, Nanda Devi and Panchachuli. Visit Anasakti Ashram (Gandhi Smriti), the terraced tea gardens, and the ancient Baijnath Temples on the Gomti river. Evening free for the sunset view. Overnight stay in Kausani.

3. Day 3 — Kausani to Binsar Scenic Drive

   Post breakfast, drive to Binsar through scenic valleys and pine ridges. Check in for a deep wilderness stay inside Binsar Wildlife Sanctuary, set amid dense oak and rhododendron forest. Trek to Zero Point for 360-degree vistas of snow peaks from Kedarnath to Panchachuli. Visit Jageshwar Dham, a cluster of ancient stone temples standing in a deodar valley. Return for an evening in the forest and overnight stay in Binsar.

4. Day 4 — Binsar to Munsyari Scenic Drive

   Post breakfast, drive to Munsyari via scenic valleys and pine ridges, following river gorges for much of the route. Check in and explore Munsyari, gateway to the Johar Valley and Milam Glacier at about 7,200 ft. Visit Birthi Falls, Kalamuni Top, the tribal weaving village of Darkot, the Tribal Heritage Museum and the base of Khaliya Top. Overnight stay in Munsyari.

5. Day 5 — Full Day Sightseeing in Munsyari

   Arrive in Munsyari and check in at the resort. Breakfast at the resort, then a full day excursion covering the top highlights of this gateway to the Johar Valley and Milam Glacier, set at about 7,200 ft. Visit Birthi Falls, Kalamuni Top, the tribal weaving village of Darkot, the Tribal Heritage Museum and the base of Khaliya Top, with views of the Panchachuli range along the way. Overnight stay in Munsyari.

6. Day 6 — Munsyari to Chaukori Scenic Drive

   Post breakfast, drive to Chaukori via scenic valleys and pine ridges, crossing Birthi and the Thal road on the way. Check in and explore Chaukori, an unspoiled hill hamlet with majestic close-up views of the Panchachuli peaks above the tea gardens. Take an excursion to Patal Bhuvaneshwar, the underground subterranean limestone cave temple with its rock formations and shrines. Overnight stay in Chaukori.

7. Day 7 — Chaukori to Kathgodam Scenic Drive

   Post breakfast, drive down from Chaukori to Kathgodam, the road winding through scenic valleys, terraced slopes and pine ridges of the Kumaon hills. On arrival at Kathgodam railway station / Pantnagar Airport area, meet the tour executive and transfer to your hotel for check-in. Spend time exploring Kathgodam, the gateway town to the foothills. The evening is at leisure, with a short stroll possible along the Gaula river front. Overnight stay in Kathgodam.

8. Day 8 — Kathgodam - Morning Sightseeing & Departure

   Post breakfast, enjoy a last morning mountain view from the hotel before settling your things. Check out and drive to Kathgodam railway station, Pantnagar Airport or onward to Delhi, depending on your travel plan. The drive out of the foothills passes forested slopes and small market towns. Your tour of the Kumaon region ends here, with assistance provided until the transfer point for your onward journey.
